Now available a channel to serve the needs of consumers, such as:
• Ice cream can be purchased in pharmacies
• Booked flight tickets via the Internet
• Buy insurance at travel agents
• Finding a wide variety of products in hypermarkets

Difficult to argue that the Internet is a channel that is a very promising future. Surveys show that online purchases increased by 40%. Most products are creating new channels of telecommunications. Examples: Plumbers herbs, newsboy and pharmacies also sell credits.

The Summary of general discussion about "Pusat Logistik Berikat" from speaker Mr.Widiyanto.

In a presentation from Mr.Widiyanto he describe the participation from Pt.Agility in PLB. He tells about purpose and functions from PLB and that is to make an efficiency of logistic cost,improve industry competitive and decrease dwell time. He told PLB is a customs area and supervised by customs.

Concept of PLB is a storage center to keep and supply raw material from vendor wich is from different country to the company in Indonesia who bought the materials.

Activity in PLB is stockpilling goods and can be stored until 3 years,in that periode the company who bought the materials can do some activity like packing,labelling,sorting etc but still under control from customs.

So the purpose of PLB is Indonesia became the center of the logistics in asia, make the logistic cost more efficient and make more profit for Indonesia
